How it works
Register your intent
Select an open project and pre-register at least 4 weeks before you plan to submit. Your supervisor receives the protocol, a blank data template, and testing instructions.
Collect your data
Follow the standardised protocol, obtain ethics approval from your institution, and record any deviations in your methods report.
Submit & earn co-authorship
Upload your anonymised CSV, signed ethics letter, and methods report. Once validated and included in the analysis, you are listed as a named co-author on the publication.
Designed for rigorous undergraduate research
Full co-authorship
Every contributor whose data passes quality review is listed as a named co-author — not just an acknowledgement in a footnote.
Greater statistical power
Individual undergraduate projects are typically underpowered. Pooled together, many small samples yield robust, reliable effect estimates.
Open science practice
Pre-registration, anonymised open data, and transparent methods — learn reproducible research workflows at the start of your career.
Global contributor network
Join researchers and students from institutions worldwide contributing to the same cumulative evidence base across disciplines.

Ready to contribute?
Register your intent today. Collect your data following the protocol, submit with your ethics approval, and earn authorship credit on a peer-reviewed meta-analysis.
Have a project idea?
If you have a research question that would benefit from pooled undergraduate data, submit it for consideration to the Meta-Student active project pool. Proposals include a full study design and a 500-word scientific justification, and are reviewed by the SSRC team.
